Mia's Mummy

Mia's Mummy

Ever since I was a little girl, reading has been my number one biggest passion that has never faltered. I have no doubt it will stay this way forever. I love to get so wrapped up in a story that I lose myself, and when I finally look up from the book, I can't remember where I am.
Each calendar year I set myself a challenge to read 50 books.... more »

What is devotion about? There isn't any blurb on shelfari about it

I didn't actually think of that (your view on the way she wrote amelia) but now that you mention it, you're right. I wouldn't have known all those words either, and I don't think that I would have been brave enough (or even though to do it) to betray my parents in court.

Well I really loved it, but felt like the end was kind of hurried. What do you think? Great book though, I really enjoyed it.

My new neighbour has some that I haven't read and has the same taste in books so we're busy swapping reading swapping reading lol. I wish the aussie dollar was better so I could buy from Amazon again cheaply. I miss that.

I honestly love her books. I only had time to read a little bit last night - I'm up to the bit where they are in the hospital because Willow broke a bone at disney land and child services has been called in. Can't wait to read more when I have time!

Ahhh very cute! I've actually been watching the x files from the beginning so haven't been reading much, although the dvd player just broke the other night so looks like I'll be back to reading full steam again. Yourself?

it was so long ago but I'm pretty sure. Maybe the movie and the manga are different? I remember that they rode the turtle or something?
Hang on, I just wiki'd it: This is what it says:
    ama-chan

Voiced by: Yukie Maeda (Japanese), Wendee Lee (English)

Tama (タマ?) (in full Onsen Tamago (温泉 たまご?, lit. "Hot Springs Egg") is the turtle given to Keitaro by Mutsumi. Keitaro points out that the turtle is male, but the girls are convinced he is a 'she' and so 'he' is referred to as 'she' throughout the manga. She is an 'onsen kame' or hot-springs turtle, and like others of her species, it appears that she can fly. Su, Mutsumi, Seta, and (later in the series) Keitaro appear to have the ability to speak with Tama-chan, and Su occasionally develops the urge to eat her, though sometimes it is just to tease Shinobu (in the manga, it is said on a side note that Su drops this habit in order to wait for Tama-chan to reproduce). She appears in Negima on Chizuru Naba's apron on the back cover of volume 8, in chapter 85 of volume 10, and in other places as pictures.

I remember now, lol. I hope the manga makes more sense than the anime did.

I see you added "love Hina" - have you seen the anime? It's the most strangest weirdest storyline...I totally didn't understand it. Something a turtle??! O_o; Weird.

Congratulations, that is my favourite series, that and the Sweet Audrina series. I don't own anymore VC Andrews books now :( Like you, I got rid of them years ago but they're good ones to read over and over although the ones I sold (Scattered Leaves) was kind of a little TOO weird.

I'm reading 'Runaway' but two books I ordered from ebay arrived yesterday so I'm trying to hurry up so I can get them started.

42 books is a great effort. Oh don't get me wrong, I DO like the twilight books, but have you seen the movie? The casting of bella is terrible - she is the worst actress!!! I think it kind of turned me off but I DO want to read the 3rd one. I read the 1 and 2nd but then all the bookshops sold out - just recently was able to get a hold of number 3. Might read something else first though I think. I might have some time on my hands soon so will be able to get stuck into it then.
Mmm. Dacquirie. It's so hot right now it sounds good.

It's pretty tough to reach 50 - I got to 48 last year! two books away but I got really sick at the end of the year so I missed out on pushing through the last 2 books! grrr. I really want to try this year though. I started with some crappy books this year - I didn't make it all the way through but I still counted them (cheating, I know!) but if you don't like it, don't read it - pick up something else you'll enjoy. Tried to start the 3rd twilight book but I just can't! I love them but hate them. Really they're so badly written but I love to read them anyway so grrrrr. Might leave it for now. Lol, Tacos. I thought you were eating a sundae.

Are you doing the 50 book challenge this year? I think I got off to a good start but I've run out of books and can't really afford to keep buying new ones, so I might have to source some oldies but goodies I think from the library or second hand book shops. THere are HEAPS of new ones that I want to read though.
