    I too think Confederacy is one of my all-time favorites. I am amazed that I forgot to included on my list here. In addition to its fantastic humor, I think of it matching Tom Jones for having a perfect plot.

    There used to be a time when I felt similarly toward Lucky Jim. The politicking of the professors and the battles seen in it were all too accurate. But after earning my degree, I went back to it, trying to see the light side it all; I could not finish it; it only served to further depress me.
