One of my most memorable moments in life was receiving a library card at age seven. This little card gave me access to the world. Back then the cards were made of little more than construction paper. I checked out three books, read them, and returned them the next day to check out three more. The librarian accused me of not reading them, and would not let me check out books for a week...it was a very long week.
I love to read. There are few books that I will ever re-read, so I usually pass them on to other readers.
After living in North Carolina for 16 years, my husband and I returned to New York in 1998 to care for my mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's; she died in 2008. In 2004, my husband also was diagnosed with Alzheimers, and I now care for him.
In my spare time, I read, read, read...and if time permits, I write reviews.
