I enjoy most all genres, except sci-fi, only because I've never read any. I may try it someday, but for now I have other interests. Some of my favorite authors... more »

Anything.................PLEASE !!!!

thats okay, remember those 5 books I got from the library. Between my sciatica and muscle pain from head to toe, which I had been enduring, until the sciatica hit !!! All that happened the very day Iafter I got the library books, so finally last Fri. I went to my GP, then Chiro, Chiro said jokingly " your a bundle of knots, sciatica didn't help me either !!) Treatment was much longer than any that IO have had before 11/2 hours with 2 10 min. breaks, anyway long story short!! I am/was supposed to be on total bed rest, excewpt for bathroom , of course, until, this Tuesday, the eleventh(11), so I havent been able to read , no comfortable position that I have found !!!Take care, look for my cards, hopefully, daily !!!

Just wanted to sens some hugs your way, so I figured that I would message you while I post the 5 books, I just got from the library, See if I can read 5 in two weeks, probably not, I haaven't been able to read quickly anymore, probably will have to renew, Check out my shelf, tell me if any of the ones I got sound good too you!!! Have A Great weekend, may be on by Sunday, but the next 2 days, I am saddled to the phone, I try to make all my house related/mom related into only two days, I was making them daily, but my therapist suggested to try to make them all in 2, organize them, list, etc... Hopefully that will give me some relief with all the stress, this is only Week 1 of her suggestion, so we will see how we make out !!!

Thanks Sandee! I enjoyed browsing your shelf also. I love my Kindle, I've had it 3 years. I still buy some hard backs for my book shelves though. I read faster on my Kindle and like being able to sample books. Looking forward to friendship and sharing good books. Wishing you a blessed Memorial Day too.

I do the same thing. I like to hear what others think about a book. Then, I make my decision by my feelings.

    Hi Sandy,

I might put off "The Moonlit Cage" for a little while. I've gotten a good taste of how women are treated over there from reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and other books. I am going to keep "The Moonlit Cage" on my list for awhile. Can't promise when I will read it.

I have enjoyed reading about Afghanistan: "A Thousand Splendid Suns," "Bookseller in Kabul," "The Kite Runner" and a couple more books. I love the title you've written about. Will write it on my list for a later time. It sounds soooo good. Thanks.

"The Moonlit Cage" I haven't heard that title. It sounds interesting. Is it a mystery?

I know the feeling. I always have a stack of books on hold. I did notice the diary listed under biography at the library. I will pick it up this weekend with a pile of other books. I needed a good nonfiction book. Of course, I don't know how quickly I will start it. I am going to put it on my shelf if I haven't already done it.
