Robin M

I have been an avid reader since grade school and I'm still going strong. My favorites are Romantic Suspense, Mysteries, with Historical and Contemporary Romance thrown in. Now I've been reading a lot of Urban Fantasy and it is quickly moving up to being my favorite genre.

Check out my shelf when you get a chance! Lets see what books... more »

Thank you, turkey and stuffing were yummy.

That's so cool that you and Judi are friends in person, you must live fairly close to one another. I've always thought it would be really neat to meet some of you at RT. Someday.

How's your week? I'm off today and tomorrow. I'd like to finish All Things Beautiful today hopefully. What are you reading?

Yes, there are still series that I am behind on. Thank heavens for shelfari! When I first belonged, a new friend offered me all the missing books I'd not yet read nor had on my TBR. I went for it, and caught up, reading those. I followed her lead, and placed them on a forum, and mailed them all out together to another friend. Frankly, I feel like i am playing a lot of 'catch-up' on PN and PNR, for there are several authors and series I am seriously trying to catch up on!

Didn't do much for Halloween, just carved jackolanterns and passed out candy. Did you do anything?
The time changed is annoying isn't it? The darkness gets to me after a while too, I think we're in for a long winter. But we'll have plenty of reading material;)
I see you like the J D Robb books, I'm curious about those, what are they like?

Hi Robin, I noticed we have many books in common. I was browsing shelves last night looking for new ideas and your shelf was very helpful, especially the tags. I've been looking for romance with humor and you have lots of them. Right now my top three authors are Lynsay Sands, Sandra Hill and Bertrice Small. I recently discovered Janet Chapman and Susan Grant that I like. And the always popular Balogh, Garwood, Kleypas, Lindsey and Quinn to name a few.

I haven't really got into Nora Roberts yet, I've got a few of hers on my shelf. I've read books thinking they'd be great cause other people raved, then I was bummed. Weird too because usually you have a lot of great books in common, it just happens I guess.
I've been into some vampire(horror)stories for Halloween. I'm reading Night Life by Ray Garton, it's a good story, I should finish it today:)

    What have you been reading?

Do you have a long weekend coming up? I've got a long one the weekend before Halloween.

I know the feeling you have with Kim Harrison, I've had with other authors. It's weird isn't it? You hear good things about an author, pick up a few of the their books and you're like-huh? I hope it doesn't happen to me with her, but who knows. You know who I feel like that with is Kelley Armstrong!! Can NOT get into hers...

I'm glad you found a few of Handelands, try to read Blue Moon first if you haven't yet. I've heard Night Huntress series is excellent. I hope you're having a nice weekend Robin.

My vaca was great! Got my Halloween stuff out, cooked, relaxed, and read. Back to work tomorrow, I'm ready though.

All of the fall challenge books except for one are from my TBR so I'm happy about that. I haven't picked the medical one yet, but I'll find one off my shelf. It's like a treasure hunt LOL. DARK, DARK books don't bother me either, I like the switch between books. I will give Karin a try sometime.

I know this sounds awful but I kind of can't wait to finish Handeland's nightcreature series so I can pick a new paranormal series. Her first in the series was awesome, the second good, the third was just ok. I've got the fourth coming up to read soon and hope it's decent.

Have you read any of Kim Harrisons? I might start hers or Patricia Briggs.

What have you been up to?

Thanks so much for your thoughts on the Shadows trilogy! It's hopefully going to be the next series I read. It all depends on the library. :0) Thanks again!
