I currently live in Attleboro, MA having moved here from Boston three years ago. I love to read and in addition to all the books I'm trying to read I also enjoy reading Time, Smithsonian and Readers Digest.

My favorite kinds of books are probably sci-fi fantasy. I loved Hobbit & Lord of the Rings. I'm also a huge fan of The Wheel... more »

So far 'The Lost Symbol' is a terrific story, I had trouble putting it down yesterday . . . maybe that's why all my chores around the house didn't get done! Think I'll add True Compass to my ever increasing Books to Read list - Thanks for the recommendation.

If I remember right, I got a real good chill down my spine with 'The Shining'.

I finished 'Along Came a Spider'. I gave it a 3 out of 5, since I didn't think there was anything exceptional about the book. And it is not scary by my definition. What books do you think are scary?

I'm not sure but I think it might be. I would just glance over it and pass it off since I never saw the initial mini-series which you really need to see, I guess.

Well, Marguerite, I watched some of the mini series of Battlestar Galactica. I was surprised how good it was. I had a friend that always told me to try it and then I finally did. This might be might new addiction.

That sounds good, the Hardcover Dracula. I read it every year or so. I almost read Dante's Inferno but never got around to it. I still might sometime. I have never even heard of 'Criminal Minds'. Did it show on HBO or Showtime? If you are addicted to it I might give it a try to see if I like it. Is it something like the 'Closer'.

You and me Both !! I can hardly wait for the new release. The only person I know around here who like WOT is Jerry. Hopefully if I can find a release party I can meet more WOT fans. BTW I did finish Path of Daggers. I will be starting Winter's Heart tonight!

PS: you have a lovely cat, Marguerite, he looks like our cat Felix.

    Hey Marguerite
I like your new picture. You should put a new one in once a month or so. Is that the only cat you have?
I have stopped putting in new avatars lately. I guess I should change mine, too, I guess.

    Hi Marguerite...
I finished The Mistress of the Art of Death yesterday, and I enjoyed it: even though it was a bit heavy on the “telling” rather than “showing” for my tastes but still, I liked it. So thanks for recommending it. :]

Yep, that's the one. I'm told that the 3rd seasnon isn't as good but I will judge that for myself. The first two seasons were great and Dexter was all we watched until we found we couldn't get the third season yet. Now we are watching the Closer. I still love it; it cracks me up and the characters are so good. I'll send an invite for Netflix.

I agree with you about Heathcliffe as the original bad boy. Why do the ladies love them so? I've just published a novel called "Conscience Point" with a very bad boy antihero -- with distinct Heathcliffiean traits. You might check it out.

We are on the second season. The interaction of the characters cracks me up; it's not just about solving the crime. I figured she might get married, do you know what season it is?
