I've been a reader all my life. I'm interested in a wide variety of topics. I enjoy memoirs, religion/spirituality, healthy living, cooking, political and social commentary (with a liberal bent) as well as lighter, escapist reading by authors Perri O'Shaughnessy, Mary Higgins Clark and Lisa Scottoline. I am married and have 3 daughters.

    About Reviews Fans The Story

THE STORY BEHIND THIS BOOK: Because of the trials and the tribulations that I as well as others have endured in our lives I wrote this book to be an inspiration to the reader. It is my intention to give hope to the hopeless, to be a friend to the friendless, and to give kind words and gestures allowing the reader to be able to stay in control. There is a little something to help to come out of the dark hole or corner, so that they will not continue to mold, maybe then they will be able to be more bold.
It is to send a word so that, that tree that has be blocking the forest will begin to sway so as to get a better view. Many kind words are sent no matter what you may be going through.

As one of my Shelfari friends, I would like to invite you to be among the first readers to review my new book "Moments of Forever: Discovering the True Power and Importance of Your Life" (a registered Shelfari title). It is a practical study in metaphysics that will help you find greater meaning in your life. It has been available for just a few weeks but it has already gained much acclaim within the large iUniverse publishing house—receiving the “Editor’s Choice” award and being honored as a “Rising Star” title. “Moments of Forever” is a book that will benefit and enrich the lives of people for many years to come. Please help me launch this very special book with your personal Shelfari review.

    Thank you!

I will definitely look into the books you have recommended. The Road of Lost Innocence is one that I want to read. From my end I my favorite books memoirs would have to be:

Please stop launging at me by Jodee Blanco, The color of water by JAmes Mcbride, A piece of cupcake by Cupcake Brown, Finding Fish by Antwone Quenton Fisher, Tuesday with Morrie by Mitch Albom these are just a few.
Please let me know if you get to read one of these stories.

Ha--that's funny about the dinosaurs! Yeah, sometimes those subjects can get a bit heavy. I don't know how many holocaust books I read this past year. After awhile, I needed something a little lighter...

Thanks for adding me as a friend! Let me know what you think of Three Cups of Tea when you get around to reading it. Also, I've been looking at Night by Elie Wiesel--was it good?

Stacy, thanks for connecting. Yes we do have several of the same books. You have an impressive list of both fiction and non-fiction. Especially like Bad President re Bush Administration. Like many, I feel like I could write that book myself. Would be a healthy cathartic experience.

I am pushing to finish Team of Rivals this weekend and was about to embark on American Lion the new book about Andrew Jackson ... but given your invite I might start with the new Friedman book so we can chat about it. I must warn you that given the demands of work I tend not to do much reading during the week unless I am traveling. But when I do get on the roll I get a pretty good pace.

Take care and happy new year,
    Stu
