    Hi Cecile,
    Good to hear from you.
To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books of all time. It is a coming of age book which tells the tale of Scout, her brother Jeb, and her father Atticus Finch. It tells the tale through the eyes of Scout. Her father Atticus is an attorney in the small town of Maycomb, Alabama and a man of great integrity. The central plot revolves around a black man accused of a violent crime; Atticus risks everything to defend him. Thematically, it entails racial prejudice, loyalty,
standing up for what is right, and exposing lies and secrets for what they are.
Hopes this helps. Let me know what you think.

    Cecile,
I received your note and am glad to make a few recommendations. I do enjoy reading and wish I could do more of it. I teach 6th graders in a middle school, which takes up most of my time. Here are some books you might like:

Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (or any of her other books as well)
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (a classic)
The Wish List by Eoin Colfer (he also wrote the Artemis Fowl series)
Inkheart, Inkspell, and Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke

Let me know if these suit your taste in books. If you'd like more recommendations, I'd be glad to make more suggestions.
