“Tedious and draggy are the two words that keep over-riding my preference for being gracious, even when I don't care for something. BUT, that only described about the first two-thirds of the story. Once it took off, I devoured the last few chapters! There was too much storyline without Betsy, and without Goddy her indispensable store partner in the beginning. This one walked a fine line between "well crafted" and overly contrived - to the extent to try to share even a synopsis almost gives away something!! But, in this one, international high crime and midwestern needleworkers manage to get tangled up, and thank goodness, Betsy is there to pull the threads free again! ”
