Hey, I noticed your group and was wondering have you ever thought of merging it? I have a group along the same lines and I really need a co admin and saw that your are atleast trying to have an active group. Would you consider it? I think together we could really do some good.
u see none of my cousins r interested so its no use poking them i have got a couple of friends who love reading books .if u ask me , we should approach people who are interested in reading or learning something new or just sharing their part of knowledge with the the globe
Yes 4 on the go right now. All from very different spectrums and genres. One kids mystery, one war, one YA drama, and one thriller.
I have tried, but Sparks is not my kind of book. My wife on the other hand loves most of his books, but of course not all of them. Let me know what you think of his work.
For the most part I have to say I do not like his style, but there is usually a book that is an exception in each author, I loved his book A Prisoner of Birth by him.
Wonderfully put!
Anything to do with law has lots of money in it, although money isn't everything, the main issue will come down to what you enjoy doing. You want a job you look forward to not one you dread but get rich at!
That is so cool that you get to study karate in school. well I think you should study english of course, but there is likely more money in mass commmunication. Really though it is up to you!
Well in juniour high we had Physical Education, Language Arts (English), Social Stduies, Science, French, Art, Career Prep, Math and there is likely mor, but I can't remember.High school we got to choose our courses, but still had main courses we had to take. I ended up taking all of my englishes, all of my maths (except the advanced math because that was only for the high achievers, of which about half passed), All of my histories, All the chemistries and biologies, my basic accounting, basic french, basic mechanics, and of course my Creative Writing for the advanced english students! plus more that I am sure I am forgetting. Then in college I got my Biblical Studies Certificate, and my Youth CAre Worker Certificate (working with troubled children and teens)What are yoru subjects?
That would be a wonderful installment here in Canada.
Thanks! studying literature in Canada in regular schooling we do not study a lot of older works, we do study some. In college if you decide to study literature or go for an english major, you will study poets form the beginning, at least some what.
I understood what you were saying. We do study some of the greats, but not as much as I may have liked! I do prefer modern as well, perhaps it is easier to relate to and understand where the authors are coming from. BTW I loveyour profile picture, it is adorable!
I have heard of most of those authors. Don't like Dickens, Shakespeare, Austen, Rowlings. I love poetry too, in fact I am reading a poetry book mailed to me by the author, Martina Reisz Newberry, to do a review. Favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Louis L'amour, James Patterson, Michael Connelly, Jeffery Deaver, and Franklin W. Dixon.
That's something you have to decide. I can't decide for you. It depends on why you are learning the language. If you think you may in the future wish to travel to Spain and South America or perhaps work there, then go for Spanish. Spanish or indeed German are more useful as business languages than French.
Well, in the past, French used to be the first and most common foreign language taught in schools, but Spanish is becoming more and more popular because lots of British people go to Spain on holiday and even retire there.Helenahttp://www.helenaharper.com
Thanks for the invite :)
Thanks!
"I am very literate."By that short statement, I mean to say that I am more than simply literate. To be literate is to be able to read, but to leave it at that is a gross understatement. I was attempting to make the reader look into my statement more than to just read the words, as I do with the words in books. If the topic of your question is sensibility, then I ask you, does it not make sense? It is a valid statement in both its literal and figurative meanings. Just because, well... I am not this person who loves to read, study, analyse and share! It does not mean that I have less to say, it just may mean that I have fewer words to say it in. With that said, thank you for your input on my profile Pooja. I appreciate it.
Thanks for the friend invite.
Yes I do love Eric Wilson's work. He is very talented, he lives about eight hours from where I live, that is if he still resides in Edmonton. I am afraid that I have not heard of Taslima. What are your all time favorite authors?
