I was raised in Florida. Live in Michigan now.
Have four kids and four grandchildren.
New authors I have read keep popping in my head.
Trouble is, I don't always remember the names of
the books. I live alone and it suits me. more »

Hi Vicky, Summer has come early with a vengeance, its even a total fire ban day today. Supposed to be 36C today, it was hot and sticky at 6am. Its funny I see all the thanksgiving stuff and the Autumn avis and pumpkins etc and they are so not real to me. Rubber thongs..now thats Australian, the sand is too hot to walk on :) If I were you I'd go back down to Florida, I've never seen snow myself and I hate the cold anyway so I guess I'm living in the right country even if we are never satisfied with the weather...I went from wearing a coat to work to the next day with short sleeved blouse...Spring totally missed us this year. take care and stay well through your Winter...brrrrr..lol

I try and get on at work but the last 2 weeks we are moving the whole library down one floor to a newly renovated area, therefore the computer at our desk is a temporary one and on dial up speed ...which means super slow loading and by the time i come home i am exhausted....Its nice to see enthusiastic players, those of us in the admin used to be like that and got worn out I think. Its nice you are still eager to play and don't worry about errors, it remains our secret :)

Yes to your last sentence! As to facebook, very few things are free anymore...Shafari is a good example but it has Amazon backing it and I really need to pop in because I miss all the interaction except if I do I spend hours and unfortunately I do not have that..I've been spending a lot of time promoting Mandy the Alpha Dog even though it went through a conventional publisher the beginning [really all except the bestsellers] authors are expected to do their own promotion ~ it's finding the niches that don't cost an arm or a leg that is time consuming. Once you start making money then you can afford a publicist!

A free site unless one wants to upgrade ~ here is another link http://authorsden.com/paulashene ~ I'm also on authors-inn.com but you need to search that one for me. Also did a couple of more blogs and when I checked the listings for my name with google I found over 200 entries [20 pages + sporadic listings] with only a couple not me or Mandy.

The price on the book has been lowered to $19.95 but not on Amazon...go figure. I've got a couple of positive reviews and our locals kids love it ~ one kid took it to show and tell and the class thought it was so funny she could not get them under control,so the teacher stopped reading and said "its here for you to read!" I am actually working on several things.

First and foremost is getting the correct meds for my husband ~ he finally is free of the psychotropic drugs [they put dementia patients on and it hastens their deaths] and is on Aricept which is an Alheizmers drug that is helping a little bit. Some days he is great and other days not but is no where as ADD as he was on the psycho drugs. This is on going and sleep is still an issue but he is scheduled for a sleep clinic on that too within the next 6-7 weeks.

The second story in the series The Midnight Caper is fully outlined and rough draft ~ now I need to put to keyboard and then son will do the cartoons. I have three other stories that are vying for attention and I'm not sure which will be next or maybe I'll rough draft as it hits me.

Am also slooooowly putting books on e bay and they migrate to Paul and Paula's Plaza Inc - now have about 450 books listed - only 9,550 to go! I will start advertising when I have a couple of thousand listed.

And when Paul sleeps, I sleep! Please say hi for me to all....P

True - the water down here is pretty bad (worse if you're on a well). And I never noticed that even the cold water is "warm". I went out to Denver for a visit once and the water out of the faucet was too cold for me.
Altamonte isn't that far away - but everything is so spread out here that "not too far away" could still mean an hour's drive. :-D
My mom had a friend that lived in Detroit and the brother owned the Sunrise/Sunset saloon. Don't remember where in Detroit that was and it's probably gone now anyway. Just remember having awesome nachos when we visited back in '97.

I'm in Orlando (born and raised here). When the hurricanes hit in '04, I was in an apartment so I wasn't responsible for anything (and we only lost a screen, anyway). Now I'm a homeowner with what feels like TONS of trees in the backyard. (When we saw pictures of the place, I thought, "How nice, they included pictures of the community park!" Uh no, that was my new backyard lol!)
What part of Michigan? My dad spent a lot of his childhood in the UP (Marquette area).

haha, there's this group that is having a halloween party and we are required to come in gowns and the trend is to chop the head off to create the illusion that it is us in the gowns and not some skinny models. ^_^

i am quite disappointed with The Lost Symbol. there are certain parts that just drags on and dan brown is becoming too predictable. Although there is a few ups in the novel a lot of it is down for me...

have you finished reading it then? what did you think about it? i don't want to go into details not unless you are done reading coz i might say something like a spoiler. lol.
