I remember learning to read when I was 6. I was so excited and I really wanted to read a novel. My dad had The World of Suzie Wong. I read it on the sly - I did not know what it meant - but I knew I loved to read. I have been reading ever since. Reading is a major joy in my life.

I'll check those out. I miss you more! I need to come see you sometime! Honestly? I've read like nothing. College has killed my desire to read haha. The last book I read was The White Devil which was a really good scary book.

Thanks. I have been able to find a little bit of time for reading but not much. I am completely redoing my bedroom, so that takes up most of my time.

Ha ha. I didn't know it took! I opened Kozar's pictures and that's the one that came up first and then I don't know what I did....

You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Did you think the last chapter really summed up everything nicely?

Thanks, and i agree. Planning is nice. And if you havn't noticed from my limited selections, i'm relatively new to "leisure" reading, so it's nice to have this kind of resource.

Hi Denise! What did you get me into now? Maybe I'll start reading for enjoyment again. I just saw "The Secret Life of Bees". It was a wonderful movie and that young girl is a really great actor. It did remind of something my third Denise said (her name is Nisi Shawl now, family pet name + ex-married name) about "magical Negros" (she is African American). She said that Steven King is the "king of magical Negros." I would say that Nisi has given literary birth to an MN or two herself, actually. There are no truly magical Negros in "Bees," but some do come close. One of the last books I've read is Nisi's "Filter House". She lives in Seattle now but she gave a reading at the library and I got an autographed copy. I recommend that one. She writes fine literature. "Filter House" is a compilation of her short speculative fiction tales.
