I love reading and will read just about anything, but am currently on a horror/fantasy/science fiction kick, and read loads of crime/thrillers - the gorier the better, although I do insist on a good story to go with the blood. However, I'm not too keen on factual books, although as a mature student doing a degree in human and natural environments I often have my nose in archaeology, geology and natural history books too.

I love music and am really into battle/viking metal which I love - very atmospheric - although it does make me want to ride on horseback through town brandishing a large sword and wearing a hat with horns on! Have managed to resist the urge so far - but only because I don't have a horse!

My friends would say I am completely mad - and who am I to argue with public opinion?- although, personally, I prefer to be thought of as eccentric. « less
