Although copyrighted in 2004, ALMOST HUMAN ~ The First Trilogy was not made available to the public until its ebook debut on Kindle in 2008, and its paperback release in 2009. It was featured in the New Title Showcase of Book Expo America May 2010, where it has been discovered and picked up for wider distribution by many stores across America and Internationally. If it’s not on your local bookstore shelf – ask for it!
The series is planned as a succession of 4 trilogies. ALMOST HUMAN ~ The Second Trilogy ~ Volume 1: Born To Blood, was released in June 2010, and its sequel, Volume 2: Descendant of Darkness is planned for release in early 2012.
This series is completely independently published, through the author’s own press name of WoodWitchDame Publications. It is usually categorized as urban fantasy, or paranormal romance, although it is truly a blending of both. The series follows an ensemble cast, not only one couple, but includes strong romantic elements. It also includes action, some light, fun aspects, and some very mild horror elements, but the focus is on the intellectual and emotional development of the characters
Melanie Nowak holds a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science, and lives in New York with her loving husband and their two sons. In her Almost Human series, she has created characters that will quickly become close to your heart, as their complex lives evolve within her richly painted paranormal world.
