Hi! You asked about Freakonomics. I am normally reluctant to recommend any book without knowing the tastes or interests of the person asking, but I found it very interesting. It is not about economics per se, but about applying economic theory to non-economic topics. By the way, the new book from Dubner and Levitt -- Superfreakonomics -- was released recently. It has nothing to do with Rick James! :-)

You should definitely try Catcher...I love the way Salinger has captured what goes on in the boy's head.

You asked about Feynman's book. YES. He is funny, clever and was a great physicist. I recommend it. Look for it at the library. BTW, are hardbound books pricey in India? I buy many USED books from Amazon.

Freakonomics is a good book. Not economics in depth, mind you, but an interesting read, nevertheless. This is in reference to your query to me - SHOULD I READ....

This book is often quoted if you study economy. I liked it very much, because it opens new avenues and provides a lot of food for thought.

It's a classic book often referenced in literary conversations. It may be particarly American in that it is about adolescent alienation.

Hi Anurag...Freakonomics is a book you will find very interesting if you like to understand how economics drive the day to day happenings which before reading the book you might not even have thought of to be linked to economics in any ways.

I am good. How r u? Did you finish the Life of Pi?
Someone else told me they found the book boring as well. I still liked his adventure with Richard Parker and his survival story in the boat and the ending.
