Ok, now that I'm past the whole pregnancy and baby chewing it's way out of Bella, I'm liking the series much better. I do think movie #2 is going to rock! Have you seen the latest trailer?
I really enjoyed the first one. It's been downhill from there! The author obviously wants me to love Bella and think she is worth all the adoration and spoiling everyone heaps on her head, but I dislike her more every book. There is nothing to her, and no reason for all these people to like her so much. It's annoying. Then there is Edward, an undeniably attractive character, but way too solicitous and flat. Jacob is the only character I find truly interesting and well written, but everyone treats him with scorn including the author. In spite of all that and the plot holes you mentioned, I'm actually enjoying myself! Weird, huh?
I've finally gotten around to the Twilight series. My sleep-deprived brain can only handle fluff. Kinda dumb but fun.
Love your profile pic! I'm excited to check out your shelf. I need some inspiration for more modern reading! I tend to stick to classics, though I am reading The Diving Bell and the Butterfly right now. It's remarkable.
I did teach in CMS. Started in '67 at Garinger High as a World History teacher. Stayed home for 51/2 yrs. with two sons and went back as a media specialist(librarian) for 25 years and retired in '98. I retired from Alexander Graham. I've only listed a few of my favorites in YA on my Shelfari. Otherwise it would be truly huge.
Yes, it is. My father was stationed at Ft. Lewis when the Korean War broke out so he was one of the first to go over. I went to part of the second grade in Tacoma and all of the third grade in Lakewood. Fourteen schools in 12 years!!! Such is the life of an Army Brat!
It is a small world!! Where are you now?
Just happened to look at your shelf...you have some interesting titles that I've read too. Maybe you'll find more on my shelf.
