"i have a most peaceable disposition. my desires are for a modest hut, a thatched roof, but a good bed, good food, very fresh milk and butter, flowers in front of my window and a few pretty trees by my door. and should the good lord wish to make me really happy, he will allow me the pleasure of seeing about six or seven of my enemies hanged upon... more »

I'm not much of a History fan in general, despite choosing it as one of my four subjects in college, but if you have any good, easy too read history books to recommend I would be happy to hear them. I definately have to re-read Heart of Darkness one day, I rushed through it in an afternoon because I had to do a presentation on it the next day in English, probably the only good book I've read in school.
