Shawna B

I work at a book store, and so have a small addiction to books. My husband says I work to feed my habit, because after I buy books there is not much left over from my checks! Hi! Glad to find you're still here. Our Verizon has been down and I'm still not sure I am back on it. It's not letting me onto Shelfari very well at all and trying to make me sign up again. Please let me know that you got this.

And STOP going into debt for your books! For your own good. If you don't have a local used bookstore--gads do I miss those things!--try the library! You're going to regret the day you're 4000 in debt! : (

Loved The Stupidest Angel! It had all of my favorite characters from Lust Lizard in it. Great book, and perfect to read this time of year.

i didnt like it much ... i like fiction .. but i like it to be mixed with emotions , but i dint really feel it that much ... it didnt made me laugh that my stomach ached or really cry that my eyes becomes buffy ... well i dont know ... but in order to love a story i think it should move me .... or at least make me not to want to let the book down from my hands .. i only finished this book bz i didnt want to give up on something i started ...

i think u find me silly and that this is not how ppl judge books ... but i read for fun and that book wasnt any fun ....

but i also know that it is the first or the second book on the list od 1001 books u must read before u die .. and it will be made into a film with Ruth played by Kira knightl so it must be a good book .. but i think i didnt know how to appricate it ... lolz

let me know what u think of the book ... i want to know other ppl opinions ...

I too like Wuthering Heights and some of the books on your shelf -- and also loved your fave scene with Darcy and Elisabeth. If you like the Gotrhic tone of Wuthering you might enjoy my novel C onscience POint, just out in softf cover from Unbridled Books. It's a modern Gothic novel about a woman in love with the same person in two different forms.

Thanks very much for the word of encouragement. This month is actually easier than last month. We have done two books in a month and might again. Right now, my hope is to whittle t the choices down to a clear winner. I will use the Name of the Rose. thx

Could you pick one of the Eco books, Foucault's Pendulum or The Name of the Rose. It will make it easier to put it on the short list as an option. You never know. I would really like to include it as an option.

Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die here and join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (from the book) or you can argue the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in our discussions. The current books are at the top of the list for that month. If there is any way I can answer your questions about the group or about Shelfari, let me know.
If you don’t own the book the list can be found http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845
