He reads Lemony Snicket and I read everything, although I am mostly into mystery, crime, historical fiction and really good great prose stylists like Ian McEwen (sp?). I'm a big Gabaldon fan as well. I'm also a bit of a word junkie and read with a dictionary close by. I hate romance novels, but not romance. I prefer the real to the sentimental and maudlin. Some of my favorite authors are Lee Child, Richard North Patterson, Harrlen Coben and Andrew Vachss who knows the street better than anyone I've ever read. « less
