Read the review for Olive Kitteridge
just saw this - read my 2nd book on Mary Anning...what inspired us to go to UK in first place...did you like Lotus Eaters? I did. Helping to coach hockey and coaching softball - think we are both done with softball...glad Meredith likes it! season is soo long!
heading to UK for 2 weeks and needing to bring some great reads! work is good...you? i was surprised at how level headed patty smith (smyth?) was...always thought she was more of a wacko...
Hi there - still finding time to read? train rides are great for that. i also just finishd just kids and gave it same rating. hope you are doing well. bye!
I didn't know you were taking the train - I can't make it work although I hate the drive - I am at Spring Garden & Broad...how is it going?? How are the kids handling it?
if you loved Matterhorn, you might like The Lotus Eaters as they were compared to one another in a review I read...I took Matterhorn out of library but had to return before I got a chance to read - will take it out again
Thanks for recommending Olive Kitteridge - love it already!
I am so glad you liked it. I know it was a little long but I really loved all the characters and I wanted something different.
I am reading time traveler's wife and not sure I'll bother to finish it - more plot than anything and I have a few other library books in the wings that I feel like I'm wasting precious time! My new neighbor across the street Jenn loved Pope Joan and I stole it from her shelf. I have Helen of Troy, Absalom, Absalom, Lit and that new one by Tracy Chevalier waiting on my nightstand!!
How did you like PUSH? Did you see Precious the movie? I haven't done either yet...
I added it to my list - thanks! I never think to bring my list to the library so I end up logging in from there...
anything REALLY good lately??? Thanks!
Yes, I'll be your friend. :) I loved Olive Kitteridge, too. LOVED IT! It may be my book pick when it's my turn.
Thanks Stephanie for bringing this site to my attention. I'm still learning how to do this!Mom
Yes, you PB! of course I will be your friend!
