And the series is still fresh and interesting, believe it or not. Still loving it.

I'm reading Seduction of a Highland Lass by Maya Banks, the second book in her McCabes series. I'm loving it!

Oh, my goodness! I've never talked to you about the In Death series by J. D. Robb? My most favorite series. It's in the mystery genre with a little futuristic edge (starts in the year 2058). It's got romance and suspense. If you look at my profile, that's the group I'm referring to. The first book in the series is Naked in Death. I highly recommend and if you don't like the first two, you probably aren't going to be that gung ho about the rest of them.

Try it...you may just get as insane about the series as I am.

I'm on Night Embrace so I'm still near the beginning.

I read the first Stephanie Plum book early last year but it fell flat for me, probably because I'm such a big Eve Dallas/In Death series fan. They are so different. Sorry you're having a tough time carving time out to read the second book. So many people love this series.

Nicaragua is in Central America next to costa rica.

I'm on the second book of the game of thrones series. So far the series is pretty good. The books are extensive. So far it's about several families ( kingdoms ) that go to war against each other . Some fight for peace others fight to gain control of lands that don't belong to them. Some where in the mix there are 5 kids that are left defenseless once their father is beheaded by a childish boy who calls. Him self a king after his father is killed. Through sircumstance the kids are all separated. One of the boys is crippled after being pushed from a tower window. There is a 3 yr old boy the oldest boy is made king after the beheading of his father and goes to war against the people that caused the beheading. His 2 sisters that traveled with the father , one was promised to be wed to the now king ( the one that ordered the beheading) and the little sister ran away and is trying to find her way home by foot.
There is also an illegitimate older brother that the kids love andgrew up with. He was sent to become a guard.
In this series there are legends of creatures that lurk beyond " The Wall" and they kill savagely.
I almost forgot to mention that all 6 kids have these wolves that are their protectors.
Some where in the story there is a girl who is the last of her bloodline " the dragon blood line" and is on a quest to regain the kingdom that was taken from her family.
Her brother was on the same quest and gave her to a warlord to wed in exchange for his military support. As a weding gift she was given 3 petrified dragon eggs. Every time she feels sick, worried, or weak she gains peace and strength from contact with the eggs. When her husband dies she burned him in a pyre and laid the eggs with him along with all his treasures and decides to juin her husband in the fire. The next morning she is found in the middle of the ashes with 3 baby dragons.

So thats just part of it there is so much . It's kind of complex because the book is not from one persons point of view. Each chapter tells about what goes on with a different character.

It's a good read and as much as I hate to admit it , I'm glad I have a kindle. Otherwise I would not be able to get any reading done. Katie ( my 1 yr old ) keeps me buissy all the time. Since the kindle reads to me, I'm able to listen while doing my chores. I even listen to it while I'm in bed. Before I would stay up and read with a book light and my husband would complain. Now I can just listen to the book being read to me. Yay! I still buy actual books and take months to read them, but with the kindle I can get through a book in a day. Some times 2 books a day.

You should look into this series. Sofar it's good.

I am having a great reading start this month after a little hiccup. Right now, I'm reading Nora Roberts' new book, The Next Always, the first in her new Inn BoonsBoro trilogy and I'm loving it! She does her best when the main characters are men. I'm also listening to Karen Marie Moning's Beyond the Highland Mist, first book in her Highlanders series. It's also very good and I'm more than halfway through as I just returned from a road trip. I recently finished Redwood Bend, the 19th book in Robyn Carr's b]Virgin River series and loved that, too.

I'll be going back to some paranormals next, getting back into Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series and a book for my Mystery & Suspense group's monthly read called Black Ice by Anne Stuart.

What are you reading these days?

I believe It's in book 3 ( Three to get deadly ). Stephanie is tired of Morelli keeping his distance and lack of flirting. She suspects that he may have a girlfriend and that thought is what makes her ask Morelli if he is still interested.

To answer your question, my family and I will be spending the Holidays in Nicaragua.

By the way, since I finished the Plum series, I gave into starting on the Game of Thrones series. Sofar it's pretty good.

    Yes, kristin is still involved.

Morelli is playing hard to get by acting like he only wants to be friends with Stephanie. That drives her nuts and compells her to ask Morelli if he is still interested. That kicks off their rocky relationship. It's rocky but fun.
On book 6 or 7 ( can't remember well ) Stephanie is having trouble apprehending an elusive old man and is forced to make a deal with the devil ( Ranger ). In exchange for his help she agrees to spend the night with him. And then in book 17 Joes grandma Bella puts a curse on Stephanie called vordo ( causes her to get all hot n bothered ) and she can't help her self. Needless to say she gets it on with Morelli and Ranger.
My favorite part is when she and Ranger do it in his Porche 911 turbo.

On house of night Heath was killed by Kalona, Stevie Rae fell in love with rephiam and he is now a normal human boy during the day. Zoeys mom was killed by nepheret in order to create a creature with the white bull. In turn Nyx allowed Heath to re incarnate, the catch was that he has no memory of his past life. At the end of this last book Zoey suspects that the new kid is Heath.

As for what in reading now, I'm currently listening to the Stephanie Plum series on audio cd. I'm finishing up Lean mean thirteen. I can't wait to get Explosive Eighteen on audio. I've already read the book and let me tell you, it was gooood. Morelli busted Stephanie and Ranger at a couples only resort in Hawaii. Needless to say that led to a Ranger and Morelli fist fight. Stephanie has to stun gun both men to stop the fight , took them both to the hospital and flew back to Jersey by her self. Now everyone wants to know what happened in Hawaii. Stephanie refuses to talk about it. And to top it all off she has a tan line on her ring finger that every one keeps asking her about. Ranger and Morelli return to Trenton but are refusing to talk about what happened in Hawaii with Stephanie. They still talk to her, just not about Hawaii.

I'm up to date on house of night. I have a thing about finishing a series once I start it. Even if it seems slow or boring. My husband says that it's my OCD that kicks in.

The action picks up after book 3. By then Lula is working as file clerck for the bail bonds office. Lula the appoints her self as Stephanies sidekick. Lula is always quick to want to shoot first and ask questions later. In book 4 Stephanie and lula team up with a foul mouthed cross dresser thats in a rock band. This book is funny because grandma' Mazur meets Sally Sweet ( the cross dresser ) and instantly takes a liking to Sally's flamboyant style.

Which book are you reading now?
I have just finished Three to get deadly this morning and started Four to score. I've already read the books but now I'm doing the audio book thing.
