I seem to remember that CARTER BEATS THE DEVIL was better received. And I never finished that one. It appears that neither of us feel obligated to read every book we start. I go by the 50 page rule. There are so many books, why waste time reading something you don't like...unless it's for a reading group. Sigh! I think about all of the books I forced my way through because of reading group. That's probably why I quit the group I belonged to. Oh, we read some fine things. But there were plenty that just didn't work for me. Take care! Ken
