I did like Pillars of the Earth very, very much. I am slowly making my way through the Girl with a Dragon Tatoo because I don't seem to have much time for reading right now. I loved the Help and highly recommend it. I just bought Diana Gabaldon's book Outlander at a thrift store. One of my book groups adore this author. It is a series and they are all gigantic. I will probably save it for next summer's big read since it will likely take me two months for that one as well. Hope all is well with the job search and foot issues. I just climbed Half Dome in the beginning of October. My knees took a beating for sure.
Thanks! I was born and raised in New Orleans :)
We are obviously interested in the same type of books. I have read almost all of the one's you posted!
