Hi! Hope you are doing well this hot summer! I have not been reading much as we have been so busy but I am looking forward to cooler fall weather and curling up with my pile of books-ha!
Hi Ms. Ruth, Yes, I do love this site, I had joined it a year or so back, but then forgot about it and rediscovered it, making a new account for a fresh start. I do love my books, that's for certain! Although I haven't done much reading over the school year, I plan to pick up a more steady (or avid rather :) )pace over the summer. Thank you, I look forward to a break from school but I think I will miss it.
Hi Ruthie! I noticed that you have read "The Lobster Chronicles" by Linda Greenlaw. I'm about halfway through, interesting read about the island. What did you think of it? Joanie
HI Ruth! Food Rules sounds interesting! Do you think it would be beneficial for reading regarding my husband's cancer diet? I have been so busy, I am just catching up on friends! Had a heart problem but am doing fine right now. Currently reading "Coming Home to Myself" by Wynona Judd, the singer and it is really good. The pile of "to read next" by my bed grows ever taller-ha@ I hope you had a wonderful Easter. Kerrie
Happy New Year Ruth! Kerrie
That's a great idea! We usually give Book Store Certificates but I think giving the book would be more fun! Have happy holidays! Kerrie
How are you doing? I stopped in at Books-a-million today and they had a dollar shelf! I bought "The Sweet Life" by Lynn York, author of the Piano Teacher. I have a pile to read but will get to this one soon-ha! Have happy holidays! Kerrie
Ruth, thank you for accepting my friendship request! I,too, have lulls in my reading and want to read so many books! I have little and big piles of books almost in every room-ha! But I loved perusing your shelves and getting new ideas on what to read as we seem to have a lot in common. Have a great weekend, Kerrie
Great. E-mail me your e-mail address (my address is mail@christophertusa.com), and I'll e-mail you the e-book version of the book. Thanks,Chris
Hey Ruth - good to hear from you. I just checked out five books on CD and imported them into Itunes and put them on my IPOD - so I'm going to Charlottesville on Monday and will have something to listen to. I'll check out the other stuff on line. Thanks for letting me know! Have a good Yoga class - I won't be back till Weds.
Hi Ruthie, I read the Count of Monte Cristo many years ago and remember I like it a lot. I read most of the books from Sidney Sheldon but my favorite is the one I posted Miss you guys a lot!
Ha! Caught be at "lunch hour" and it was fun trying to remember books for the site. I can't believe how many books I can't think of offhand that I know I really enjoyed. I sent the site on to my bookclub, a voraciously reading group of gals. I think they'd get a kick out of booksharing as well. Let me know how you like the Kabat-Zinn book - I read it years ago and was one of those who found it... if not life changing, certainly life enhancing. I may read it again, now that you've reminded me of it. And the Hitchhikers' Guide still remains one of my all-time loves - although I wonder if it would seem "dated" now.
Hi Ruthie,I'm in!!elaine
Thank you Ruth.
Hi Ruthie, Bill Bryson is one of Emily's favorites....I will have to tell her about this web-site and you can compare notes!! Joanie
