  • A. Michaelson

    A. Michaelson says

Hello, Cinnamon. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including here the publisher's notes. Let me know what you think.

    From the Publisher
    A. Michaelson's new novel, The Sandal Maker, takes the reader on a fascinating journey back to the year 70 A.D. in worn torn Palestine. The author creatively weaves two stories together, one in the present, the other in the past. Heartwarming, enlightening and tragic, The Sandal Maker paints a portrait of one man's life and his involvement in how the gospel came to be.

Hello Cinnamon -- The Historical Fix group doesn't have a "book of the month" per se...we just share what we're reading and sometimes a few of us may buddy-up. Did you finish The Book of Night Women yet? What are your final thoughts?

Hello Cinnamon, How are u? I loved Douglass Women. The author did a very good job writing that book. I'm looking forward to read her other books. There's a discussion on the book in my group Historical Fix & Other Lit, so check it out. I just finished Spitting Game by T.L. Bryant. Starting on Steve Harvey's new book Think Like A Man Act Like A Lady, I'm also going to try and read The Dirty Truth by Brenda Hampton. Have u read any good books lately???

Hey, Cinnamon...how r u...it's good to hear from you...I need to get back into my Bible study, too...with the exception of Wednesdays and Sundays...I've haven't really been reading it like I should...shame on me :-(

But so far this month I've read the following books:

Maureen Smith's...Weapon of Seduction...Whisper My Name...No One But You
    Ann Christopher's...Tender Secrets
    Brenda Jackson's...Temperature Rising
    Monique Lamont's...Double Take
Trisha Haddad's...Best of Luck Elsewhere...just an okay debut...slow at times...but interesting enough...

But all the others are worthwhile reads...at least for a romance junkie like myself...LOL...some better than others...but I enjoyed each one...Happy Reading :-)

Just closed the book. It was drama from beginning until the end. I read Reasonable Doubt first and that was good to. If you like Law and Order tv show, you will love both of these books. Now to the last one, Murder on the Down-Low.

How sweet it is to be accepting a request of riendship from you! It is no doubt (With No disrespect intended) as sweet as the taste of honey running of of a warm cinnamon bun during a wholesome Sunday Monrning Breafast: Second no doubt to the scent of Jasmine,
    on a hot summer Day!
