I just now finished it. An amazing book! If I had read it last year it would have made my top 10, perhaps even the top book.

Wow! It is such a great story and the writing is excellent. I know I'm going to keep thinking about it.

I just started Room last night and I really like it so far! I didn't realize that it was told from the perspective of the 5 year old. I think the whole premise of the book is intriguing! I can't wait to get further in, I've only rad about 25-30 pages so far (started it last night).

Not sure if you are a member of GoodReads or not, but they did a "Best Books of the Year" awards... I found some really interesting books that I'd like to read! You should check it out (if you haven't seen it already): http://www.goodreads.com/award/choice/2011#56593-Favorite-Book-of-2011.

So I basically read the last 75% of the Maze Runner yesterday. It really kept mw guessing and the first book didn't wrap up like I thought it would. I actually thought the Maze Runner was a little boring - although I don't think boring is the right word. There were some great action packed characters (when Thomas is in the Maze with Minho and the whole exiting the maze thing). I'm definitely going to read the other two books, but not right away. I have a few others that I'd like to wrap up first! What are your thoughts on the 2nd and 3rd books? Are they the same? More interesting? Boring? Just curious!

That's really interesting. Every time I've heard ANYONE mention the Maze Runner trilogy, they always equate it to the Hunger Games. Well I loved the Hunger Games trilogy as well! Next year, I want to reread the entire Harry Potter and Hunger Games series again! So far I'm really liking the book! I haven't had a lot of time to read lately (went back to school in August for my Masters and it's final week).

I was a little iffy about the series because everyone keeps comparing it to the Hunger Games trilogy (which I absolutely loved). I'm almost 10% in and I'm really interested as to where this is all going. I'm afraid to read the synopsis of the 2nd book because I don't want to spoil anything!

Awesome to hear!! I am going to wrap up 2 books this week/weekend and then move on to that (my reading time is few and far between anymore). I started back for my Masters in August. The program is only a 15 months though and I have a winter & summer break. I'll definitely be catching up on my reading then!!

PS - I'm planning on rereading the entire Harry Potter series over the summer. I thought an avid HP fan would appreciate that!

Hey, saw you are reading "The Death Cure," what did you think of "The Maze Runner?" I just got 3 Kindle books from the library and, once I get through them, I think I'm going to give that a try!

I've often read female fans of Clockwork Orange saying they found Alex (or droogs?) attractive -- never understood it, but your new avatar is certainly a pretty picture :)

Yes, I guessed at that being a possible reason :) Halloween didn't used to be so big over our way, but it seems to be getting bigger now. Supermarket has a whole seasonal aisle that seems dominated by it at the moment. I think the dark theme of 1984 will match the mood well when you have time for it after your current read.

Gosh, the scary avatar's back :) OK, happy reading with The Night Circus and 1984 thereafter. I think most people hate being force-fed literature, so it's a pity if you've had a bad experience early on. Luckily I enjoyed most of our school-reads. Take care now and thanks for letting me know!
