    The History Non-Fiction Group is set to read The Linguist and the Emperor: Napoleon and Champollion's Quest to Decipher the Rosetta Stone by Daniel Meyerson for the Jul-Sep quarter. This book discusses the two men whose lives intersected over a love of all things Egypt and led to Campollion solving the mystery of the language on the Rosetta Stone. The book is fairly short - only 271 pages including the Author's Note at the end - and easy to read so it's a good book for the first ever quarterly read. Please join us if you're interested.

    Okay...I get it. And in all fairness that was a true statement even after the first book! I can't help it that the synopsis sucked and the books rock! I see the humor though...I do see it...

    I have heard of it, but am not particularly interested in it. It's paranormal romance. I know, I know, I love the Halfway to the Grave series in the same genre, but from the synopsis I've read of the Anita Blake series I'm not so far interested.

    No, I didn't hate it. I do want to find out what about the ending you didn't like though. It was good it was just long and sometimes it'd really have my interest, then other times it wouldn't. Hence the 3.

    There is some sexual stuff in it, but that's just ridiculous. Of course, I think banning books period is ridiculous, so I guess it shouldn't surprise me. Whatev. Hey, finally finished TTTW. We'll have to discuss it soon.
