Sup, Matea? How did you like 'Tarantula'?I'm considering picking it up soon..
i like your shelf.
I would like to apologize for yesterday. I got off on one of my "pet peaves". Please forgive.Rick
he isn't. important. there is a cult who are triying to revive him though, as the French artists of the 20's... I almost find those who cling to him as pathetic .. as though they are looking or seeking for a cause, I find the entire Morrison/Doors movement the same, I feel sorry for these people, and I house them together ... ... Kerouac as I said lived in Ozone Park not far from myself when he was writing the Road ... I have little respect for him ... perhaps it is resentment.. i am uncertain ...I should revisit that ...this is a different picture ... is this of yourself ???you seem as a child here?I did not think you so ...before you were sleeping .. hard to wake ...this face seems ... inquisitive .. eager to learn ... is this you also .. as well?
AAhhh ... OK. So, I only had to make a *ss out of myself to get you to talk to me. Is OK. Some sacrifices need to be made, some lambs need to die.Yes, i thought I saw Dylan on your shelf ...and I thought you had referred to Asimov's Foundation ...maybe we're just on different tracks ... if so, it's probably cos I have to drag words out of you ...Bataille being surreal .. the terms are almost synonymous ...I've only a couple of his ... I don't know if I have come out a door of decision as yet ...I grow weary of writers when they gain "cult" status ... it's like I do not want to see another word of anything about Kerouac .... the guy used to live in my neighborhood ... (oop ...sori ...he's on your shelf isn't he?)did I see somewhere that you're into Cohen ?
not French ... Serbian ?? like the tennis player?
Is OK. I'm just always out there trying to get to know some people in the areas where we're common. But you couldn't have done better than Foundation (I don't know how many Asimov titles I have) and then of course the Miller that you have. And you're into Rilke ... so ... there are some great (re)deeming qualities there..I actually have one friend that doesn't check her "notes" for like three weeks ... and then is all apologies about it when she realizes I have been speaking (or attempting to) to her ...but then you've got Le Guin in there, who I am crazy about, Story of the Eye (what did yah think of that?) Tarantula ... couple of others, but I have to press you, our ratio is too high as i told you in the request I think...if you really like Le Guin, you should check out Left Hand of Darkness and Dispossessed ..I was actually pressing you to see if you were truly French or not.
... not much of a "talker" ... are you?
Bonjour, Matea. Comment ca va? Vous avez réveillé de vous?
When you wake up you'll "have" to tell me something about yourself ....
AAAhhhh.... so I "made" you cross the line with Rilke !!!! I saw you on for a little bit and I thought "aahh, she's going to turn me down ..." I took a little poetic license with the Rainer piece, but I think it reads better this way. Sure he won't mind. And yes, I couldn't believe it when I saw Canticle on your shelf !! Everyone should read that book !I have my other sci/fi and art books on another "shelf" if you are interested.http://www.shelfari.com/o1517349992 Thanks again for the add !!Rick
