Hi, Richard! It's been awhile. So, are there plans for a book 2? I was happy to see Stop Me awarded. It was well deserved!

    I Love you

I love you to the moon
I love you to the end of the planets.
I love you till there's no love in the equator,
I love you knowing nothing could be greater,
I will love you from now until decades later.
Let me love you now, not later.
    Let me love you to
    Northern skies,
    Western hemispheres,
    Without worries, fears or cares.
    Allow me to love you,
    Until you care, blossom up,
    Open up-heal from old wounds
that you suddenly, slowly start to share.
Our love is genuine-it can't compare.
Now your love has opened up wide
Like a brand new gift on Christmas day
See what happens when you allow
    Someone to love you.

    Hi Richard,
It's nice to hear that you made it (to publication) in the end despite a collection of rejections, and that you're enjoying your success. My neighbour spent something like 6 years on his first book and had a tonne of rejections, was eventually published and is now on his 5th book and making a tidy stack of dosh at last! He has impressive contracts with UK and US now and is at the top of his genre in Germany. He really deserves his success and it's a great thing to see! So all the best for your 2nd book. I'm a bit lost now that Storylines is over. I'm writing again but I guess scared to invest emotionally in another big attempt only to have it unsuccessful. It's just one of those things, though. I enjoy the writing and it's how I make sense of life - on paper. Maybe I'll end up doing Storylines again, maybe not. I'll be involved with children's literature somehow, though, especially with YA novels. A friend of mine imports from the US and sells locally here. I've thought about that for YA novels specifically, as the NZ market is such a small one and it would be great to offer our readers of YA novels a wider choice of titles. I applied for a job at a discount bookstore, but couldn't work the hours with my boys' activities.
That YA novel ended up being a page turner as I said. The biggest disappointment was that I saw all the twists and turns coming, which happens a lot. And the story sequence was a bit confusing at times, going backwards and forwards in time a lot. Plus it almost felt like chick-lit in places, which I have no time for. Despite all that, I felt uneasy reading it and couldn't put it down. I'm still searching for a book that's not predictable though! I know I'm impatient and hard to please, though I try not to be! I got a copy of Silence of the Lambs second hand, so I'll give it a shot. Do you read Patrick Robinson? I got the latest (Diamondhead) for my hubby today and he says the main protagonist is great! I'm trying to read more experimentally, so maybe I'll give it a go.
    F :)
