Hi, I am an author and mom to one very energetic horse and two slightly demonic, yet cute, cats. I've published two books (available on Amazon in paperback and kindle and other online booksellers), and am working on my third. My first book, Midnight Reflections, is a mystery thriller involving vampires, werewolves, warlocks and a serial... more »

Nope :o I've got one of the books in the spin-off series on my to-read list though. It's called 'undone'

It gets so much better as you go (my opinion of course, lol). I kind of slowly read books 1-3 but when I got to book 4 it was just impossible to put them down until I was all done :o that doesn't happen to me too often, lol.

I'll check those out. I have Phantoms. I just haven't read it yet. I think I've been saving it because I know it's a good one. If that makes any sense :) There are many Koontz books I haven't read yet. Some of my favorites are The Taking and Lightning.

If you like Koontz, they are some of his better books. Seize the Night is part of a series so you would want to start with Fear Nothing. Although, I have to warn you that he has not written the third one yet and there is no future release date yet. Yes, now that the holidays are over, it is back to reading :)

It's really good so far. I'm still only half way through. The holidays have taken away from my reading time which is kind of a bummer.

How are you liking Simon Green?
I have read 100 pages in Something from the Nightside.
I just cannot get Dresden out of my mind while I am reading it.
It is like he is making fun of Dresden; satire, parady ?? I'm sure there is a literary term for what I am trying to say...

I have read the 1st 3 Jaz Parker books by Rardin. I did not realize she had died. Sad.

Jim Butcher and Kelley Armstrong are two of my favorites. I have read one Kim Harrison-seems kind of tame-but I will probably read more since my daughter has most of her books.

Your books sound interesting (may I follow you?) I will check them out.

I saw you mentioned The Book Thief on Trish's page(could have been long ago, I failed to note the date).

I have been trying to finish that book for years. It is YA and I am getting bored with YA books these days. On a children's/young adult/teen scale I am more on then teen into adult area now-a-days.
It is unusual in that it is written by Death. But it is also about Germans hiding Jews from Nazis. There is nothing wrong with that but I personally have read so many on that theme that I'm kind of burned out on that too. Yet, on that theme I found Corrie Ten Bloom's books facinating and I don't usually read religious or non fiction or biographical books. Now I have forgotten what post I was replying to and am thinking I may be totally on the wrong person's page!!!! ...oh ,well....

Hi Katrina, Thank you for the recommendations. I will certainly take a look at Jennifer Rardin and Bob Thurman. I am somewhat familiar with Harry Dresden.

Once a Witch is an interesting read so far, its about a 'professor' that is after an ancient clock. and Tam (the story is told by her) tries to find it without being able to use any magic. =]
    thanks for the congrats =]

It's not bad - Kelley Armstrong's books aren't the best I've read in the genre, but she's good when I don't have anything else laying around. Book 5, though, was excellent (Haunted). That's as far as I've gotten since the new Kalayna Price Alex Craft book came out and I decided to read that rather than Broken first.

I'm loving it, thanks for asking. It's actually my third read through, I'm trying to refresh my memory for Hunt the Moon next week and I haven't read them since last year.

Ahh, Good Omens is one of my favorite books =) American Gods was awesome. Right now I'm reading 'Surely you're joking, Mr. Feynman!' and it's pretty interesting so far! The Dresden Files are on my to-read list. I have no idea when I'll get to this giant to-read list, lol. Eventually, I hope!
