Hi Lynn, Finally grabbed a few minutes to add a couple of items. Juliette de Baraclai-Levy is the herbalist I told you about who learned how to heal burns with first vinegar and then honey. I have many of her books and wish I could own her 3 oldest but they are over and above my budget . However, I do have a VHS tape about her with interviews. Quite intereseting.

I am currently reading The Secret by Beverly Lewis -- light Amish novel -- which I can get lost in and easily relaxed if small fry are not bothering me too much -- but Jai is a toe biter so I can't let my feet hang over the bed while I'm reading!! Ha!

I have been ordering Amish cook books which are of interest to me as my maternal grandmother was part Swiss German and so many of the foods and dishes are familiar -- sauerkraut, sausages, creamed onion, peas, soups, some meat dishes, stewed spiced prunes or dried fruit mixture and a dry pear filled "stollen" type bread which I loved! It was one of my Grandmother's favorites and not very sweet either. I'm hoping I might find a similar recipe -- so far, no luck -- and my middle sister stole my mom's recipe cards, so unless she's in a good mood I might just have to do it from memory and see how it goes.
