I am a nurse, CCRC, Mom, and NiNa to four grandchildren. I live in Birmingham, AL but hope to move back to the country where I grew up when I retire. I am ready for the simple life. I want to smell fresh baled hay, listen to the water flowing in in a creek, sleep with the doors unlocked, go to a church where you know every person there and can call them by name and sit on the front porch in a big rocker and hear nothing but the sounds of nature.

I am a member of Kindleboards.com. and I have owned a Kindle since 09/29/08 and love it! Having a Kindle has broadened my reading horizon. I find myself reading more and reading books I would not have chosen for myself.

I have loved to read as far back as I can remember. To date myself I remember my favorite days in summer were the ones the BookMobile came. I would spend hours there with my Mom, sisters and brother. I loved the smell of the books and the feel of them in my hands. I will be forever grateful to my parents for instilling in me the love of the written page.

Reading is my first love. Other hobbies are music, antiques, swap meets, gardening, nature and SEC football. WAR EAGLE!! I enjoy making new friends here and this great network of people who share my passion for reading.
