Thank you! Someone in one of the groups said it made his skin crawl. I can only assume he's a cat-hater! I advised him to look away :-)

Hi. We do have quite a few books in common don't we? I would love to follow you as well. It's always great to see what other treasures people find to read. I noticed you are from Birmingham. I used to live there when I was little. What part of Birmingham?

Hi Linda - I'll let you know about Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I haven't made it to page 60 yet. However, my boyfriend said that it's a "dangerous" book because he got halfway through or so and then just couldn't put it down. We'll see.

    Hi Linda,

Happy New Year my friend. Hope you had a wonderful holiday season also. The Lord has blessed us so much. We
are very thankful all the time as I am sure you are too.

I did enjoy Run on my Kindle. I was hooked from the beginning too. So many great books, I just don't have enough time for everything.
Read your list of likes and we have so many things in common/likes. I need to update my list!
    Keep in touch,
    Carol

    Hi Linda...

I've been in a funk for a while in regard to reading. Now, with the holidays creeping up, I hardly find the time to read at home. There's just too many things going and of course the Christmas shopping.

My home computer is just about done so I only check things out on here a few times a week, and not for long. I am reading A Prayer for Owen Meany at work and almost finished. I know there are some others that I have finished but I don't think I logged them on here yet.

How are things going for you? Hope all is well and that everyone in your world has their health as there is a lot of things floating around in the air right now.

We've still had some warm days but it is getting colder and now with the time change, it is dark so early.

Well, going to sign off for now. Got to hit the grocery store after work...don't want to be caught up in the mad rush next week...only for the last minute items such as greens, etc. Have a great weekend...

Wow, do we ever have a lot of books in common! I like that you write a review for most of them too. I wish more people did this.

I do have a Kindle. My girlfriend gave it to me 2 birthdays ago and I absolutely love it. Like you, I usually take it on trips but I have been reading some of the 250 books I have downloaded. Read the Hunger Series and really enjoyed it. Also, I am addicted to books. I have hundreds on my shelf and try very hard to get through those before buying more but I am a slave and a weakling when I go to bookstores and the library. :)
I had my 11 yr. old granddaughter this weekend and she kept me busy.
But in the evening, we settled in my big bed to read. Pure Heaven.
Keep me posted on anything wonderful that you have read. Wish I could have been with you at that used bookstore, we probably would have bought 3x more. Carol

    Hi Linda,
Nice hearing from you. Summer has been great. Had 2 vacations. Las Vegas & DC. Was gone the first 2 weeks in August. Came home tired.....

I also watch your reading and love to browse and pick up some nice books.
My passion is books also. It is something I look forward to each day...

Summer is still strong here. In the 90's, raining every day. I really miss the fall weather. Look forward to it getting cooler.
Keep in touch, Carol (Nonna is Italian for grandmother)

Did you ever read the French Gardener?
