I'm adding it to my To Read list. Finished Ship Breaker this morning. There's a kiss - not a thing more -- but tons of violence. Hope that helps you decide re book talking it.

Pop was cool - gave me a glimpse into an athlete's mind. Tangerine was awesome. I put a copy on display next to Bluford series, because I feel like both get us involved with characters trying to sort out what's right and what they believe in, and Tangerine isn't "too white" and it's better written. It checked out.

I finished Catching Fire last night -- why did I think this was a 2-book series!?!
As with HG, it's a weird feeling to enjoy reading about a grim subject. But there's the whole overthrowing an evil regime business to make it okay, I guess? The arena didn't make sense to me, so some of their survival strategy didn't seem right.
Still, riveting, and I do care about the characters -- even though my opinion changes as to who really is Good or Best.Posted 3 years ago. ( send a note )
