NICOLE N

What can I say... reading is my addiction of choice. I tend to read from all genres, but for now, romance, parnormal romance has my eye. And after finally getting my Kindle, I will have to find a support group for reading addictions!!!

    Hi Nicole,

Thanks for joining my Shelfari group, Erotic Readers. I'm happy you're here.

How do you like your Kindle? I'm in the market for an e-reader and leaning toward the new "Nook".

I hadn't read Storm of Visions yet so I picked it up Wednesday, finished it last night. I like Christina Dodd's writing. I loved her Darkness Chosen series. It wasn't what I expected, storywise, but I enjoyed it okay. I liked the legend she created of the origins of the Chosen and the Others although I think there could have been a bit more to it. Perhaps she will delve into that the rest of the books. I think she could have added a little more depth to some of the characters. The whole purpose and the why of the two factions is vague. i mean, you know its a whole good vs evil thing but there isn't enough explaination I think. i do look forward to the next one, just to see how she makes the story unfold.

I don't blame you for My Sister's Keeper...although I haven't read it I know how it ends and the format of the book. About Elizabeth Amber's series, you might like it but I personally did not. It was a little too sexually adventurous. I did begin a series by Carolyn Jewel (the first is My Wicked Enemy) it was pretty good...just two out so far. My Wicked Enemy has a great fantasy concept and world but the characters are a little off in their flow. I think/hope it was because it was the first book in the series.

I'm a great Atonement fan, though I haven't liked McEwan's subsequent books. I'm myself am a novelist, author of Conscience Point, just out in soft cover. It's a reworking of the love triangle in Brideshead Revisited, set on present day Long Island.

Ok I thought Corks N Canvas was going to be a frame shop! I just did a little research and I think I want to do the June 25th project! or June 4th? (Flowers are safe lol) Generally I am creative not necessarily artsy. I have a bunch of scrapbook stuff (so if you're into that you are welcome to borrow anything!) As for books.... I am reading Mary Balogh's Huxtable series.(I am struggling with it, I don't know if it's the book or if it's because my husband is out of town and I can actually get stuff done) Have you gotten a reader yet? IYou are more than welcome to come over and borrow from my bookshelves. I think we are about equal on the paranormal romances (you've probably read more than me!) I like historical romances and kid's/teen fantasy books too. Also I have not read Magic Bites or any of Sherrilyn Kenyon's other series. I also never read Sookie's books because I know they don''t end happily ever after, so I thought I wouldn't like them. I love Trueblood though!
