I see that you have read Bumper Crop and liked it. I have read many of Joe R. Lansdale's works. I think he is an amazing writer. I checked your list and i did not see a few of my favorites. The Magic Wagon, The Bottoms, and Dead in the West. If you like Lansdale, you will like those. I am about to start Bumper Crop. There is also a story in The New Dead. It's a zombie anthology. I dont feel that it belonged to that anthology but it was still a good read.

Hi! Thanks for the friend request. :-) I see you are a Simon R. Green fan, I'm just about to start Something from the Nightside (well, if I can finally finish Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, which I keep putting aside). I have heard good things. :-)

Hey I'm too a big fan of Walter Mosley. I was extremely heart broken to have learned that I will no longer read new Easy Rawlins mysteries. I have yet to read The Long Fall, though I noticed that you read book two of the Leonid McGill series. I thought it comes out next year? How is it?

Hi there! I need to do some more work on it. I'm thinking about cataloging my books so they will be easier to post AND so I will know which I have and which ones I need. I don't have half the books I own on here (sigh). Good for you that you've found more time to read. Do you do like me and read to the boys sometimes? Thade really enjoys me reading to him...LOL.

I heard they got married. It's a little strange to think of Dexter and Deb kissing behind the scenes.

If I only I could. I don't have HBO so I haven't been able to watch it but I am eagerly awaiting it on DVD. Just a few more weeks and I plan to ensnare my Husband as well. I already have him hooked on Dexter and once upon a time we would watch Buffy together. Good times. Anyway, thank you for accepting the friend request and hopefully we can talk again soon. Maybe after I have watched Sookie.

Haha! Yes, it definitely should keep me busy for a couple of years at least. The problem is it keeps growing because I hear of such good books here on the groups. Then when you factor in the author OCD and the must read book before movie OCD....*sigh*, yeah I'm in a lot of trouble!

Ok, just had to come back and say that I just looked up The Gargoyle and it sounds extremely interesting! Sounds exactly like something I will throughly enjoy reading. Thanks so much for the recommendation!

Thanks so much for the friend invitation! I have not read the Gargoyle, but I will definitely add it to my TBR. I read so much, but it seems I never have enough. Like Dee G says below once I read anything by an author I'm compelled usually to read all they've written. That includes the recommendations I get from my children, sci-fi from my son, and ya from my daughter. A lot of David Levithan right now from her. I'm reading Blue Moon at the moment as my only vampirey read. I have 9 books going right now! I know crazy! There are a lot of series that I want to keep at like Laurel's and Kim Harrisons, only read the first one so far and Sookie as well. I love these books but not much compares to Anne Rice so I have a hard time and am always looking for good vampire books. Thanks again, have a great day. :)

When I find an author I like I tend to grab everything I can find. Now I am not seeing so good and finding some books has been difficult. I try to find large print, audio or an ebook I can blow up the font on. Ted Dekker has been hard to find. Right now I am reading a lot of David Baldacci. I love to read and find other folks to talk to about the books. I just quit one book group in yahoo because althought they said they were eccletic, all I ever saw them read were paranormal romance. My Hubby reads a lot too but he reads mainly fantasy while I lean more towards sci fi or thriller. My kids are all grown but the boys are still all big readers too. Your avatar is adorable!

Cool! I have read Stranger in a Strange Land several times over the years and one of the things that aggravates me about Shelfari is that nowhere does the site seem to take into account the idea that a person might read the same book more than once. I rarely do that but the books I have chosen to reread are very special to me-like the aforementioned Heinlein novel or Adams' Watership Down, or Bradbury's Dandelion Wine and Something Wicked This Way Comes, or Tolkein's trilogy.

Serge & Coleman rule! My wife found a copy of The Stingray Shuffle at a garage sale and I was hooked! BTW I noted we have 61 books in common including a lot of Anne Rice-I just finished with a set of vamp books by a gentleman named Mario Acevedo and I feel obligated to tell you to steer clear of them. Hi, and welcome to the Chiller group. Our group's been around for a while so there are a ton of threads. Hop on over to our introduction post and tell the group hi and talk about some of your favorite horror authors and inspirations. Feel free to start your own discussion posts and browse our growing group shelf. Also, we're looking to start a Horror movie discussion, and that is open for nominations right now.

Any questions at all just ask, same for suggestions or ideas.
