Thank you! :-) It's my boy Angel "sunbathing" on top of the bookshelf. :-) It is a good spot for the cats because the sun shines through the window just perfectly for them. And, of course, I thought it fit nicely for this site.

    Hi!
I see you have Beastly on your shelf. I'm nearly finished it and really enjoying it. Have you read it yet?
I'm hoping to catch the movie - due out in the US March 4th, but I don't know what that means for us here in NZ.
Would love to hear your opinion if you've read it

    Thanks :)
It's cute, huh? I just googled rainbows and this came up! Another of my shelfari friends posted to tell me she liked it too! :)
Think I'll keep this a while. Yours is really beautiful, too. I'm a big animal lover, especially of cats, snakes and tigers, but any animals are close to my heart!
What's Halo about? I've really enjoyed lots of vampire and angel-type books, but taking a break LOL
Is this an angel story? Tell me more!

    Hi Midnight Thief :)
You're right about You Against Me as it turns out! After I saw it on your shelf I went looking and requested it from the library. I have it now after a very brief wait and can't wait to get started! Only about a week ago it appeared in the shops.
And it's true about The Kite Runner. The rape is disturbing and I totally appreciate your reason for not wanting to read it. It's a very well written story if you ever change your mind, but yes, the rape scene was explicit. Plenty of other books out there, though, right?
If you're able to get hold of any books by NZ authors, T K Roxborogh is one of my favourites. I loved Banquo's Son and I'm reading the sequel, Bloodlines at the moment. She also wrote a moving story about a girl who suffered serious burns, and the title was Third Degree. ONe of my fave NZ authors for teens is David Hill. (I read a lot of YA novels even though I'm in my 40's)!
Hope you're enjoying A Thousand Splendid Suns - a good choice for a Literature Class.
    Happy reading!

Hi! I was just searching for more books by Jenny Downham as I really loved Before I Die and I saw that you have the book You Against Me. When did it come out? (I live in New Zealand, by the way, and it takes a while for books to hit our shelves.)
