When not at work full-time in retail or at school for my Elementary Education degree, I spend most of my time either running my book blog, Escape Through the Pages, on Wordpress at http://thekams.wordpress.com, reading, hanging out with friends or watching movies.

My love of books began with young adult and continues with young adult. I had a phase in high school where I read nothing but epic fantasy series (Wheel of Time or Sword of Truth anyone?), followed by a - thankfully quick - Harlequin romance phase before I settled back into my love of YA lit peppered with the occassional chick lit or paranormal romance.

I'm an avid movie watcher, and love seeing them in theatres - the more crowded, the better! I prefer sci-fi/fantasy and musicals, but I've been known to watch my share of chick flicks and romantic comedies. Disney is always a guilty pleasure, and I never watch horror. My taste in music is extremely eclectic; my iPod playlist has everything from Eminem to Rascal Flatts to French rap and Japanese rock (and I can't forget the musicals). I'm also addicted to my computer and follow numerous television shows.
