Holly Black Series: I'm just finishing up Ironside and loved the series, but I didn't read the second in the series. I've also read her two graphic novels, Good Neighbor I & II. That's what got me hooked on whole faery thing.

Dara, THANK YOU! I really figured this book was all about liking James -- if you liked James, you'd like the book. If you hated him, you'd hate it.

I know...I change the photos for two reasons...one of the groups does a monthly avi contest so it is fun to try and find whatever it is for the month and then I change them accoriding to how I am feelling. LOL! This month, I am feeling a little vampy. :)

I think that Graceling will be good. Veronica swap books and since I really wasn't that fear into it and we had to swap, I gave it to her so I will pick it up again in the next few weeks. I love your books...they are always a nice switch to my current addiction. LOL!

I was checking out your shelf---I LOVED Frankie Landau-Banks, too! I just read it a few weeks ago. Have you read Unwind by Neal Shusterman yet? Everyone I've given it to has been blown away by the premise

I'm very lucky. I work in a book store and write a teen blog
    http://thebookbind.blogspot.com/
for the store so get my hands on a lot of arcs ahead of their pub dates. But whereas I tend to post only reviews of the books I love on the blog, I post all reviews here! (And both Ballad and Catching Fire are fantastic!)

I haven't had a chance to read Eternal yet. But I really do hope that she writes a sequeal because I really wanted Quinnce to end up with Kirean. I was mad with Brad towards the end. Haha. He was a creeper.

I'm hoping there'll be a sequel; I mean, the ending was sort of a cliff hanger. What did you think of it?

  • The Ancient One

    The Ancient One says

    Marianne Williamson
    Return to Love

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear in that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the World.
There is nothing enlightening about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel unsure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
As we let our own Light shine,
we consciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
    our presence automatically liberates others."

That makes sense. I've read books like that, that just grasp your attention from the first few pages. I can't say that I've read Lament. I don't think that i've even ever heard of it. What's it about?
