I can live anywhere, as anyone, and at any chosen time period through books. I cannot imagine a life without books. It is my best companion. I find myself in a bookstore when I'm lonely, sad, happy, anxious, right before the airport and when I want to detach myself from my life to jump into another's.
My mom loves to read and I remember browsing her bookshelf when I was a child, wishing I could read everything on it one day. Now I build my own bookshelf along with my daughter's. She's a born book-lover (only 4 now) and I cannot ask for a better gift for her to have.
I love the touch and feel of a book. I love the pages, the words printed on them. The beauty of each font and the stories they reveal. Kindle can never substitute that for me.
My favorites sections to browse in a bookstore are: fiction, literature, & children. I've recently added some cook books to my shelf as well. :-)
Cook a hearty meal for my family and curl up to read together...I don't think there's anything else that I lack in life.
You can tell so much about someone by the books they read. I look forward to meeting other book-lovers who loves the books I love and those who can open my eye and expand my shelf with me.
