Thanks for all of your time. I think I'm going to go with the Sansa Fuze. I just stumbled upon the Anything But Ipod site today and from what I can see it's about exactly what you mentioned. I had a Creative Zen V that book marked, but didn't always auto resume and the files went in under music. I use mostly Overdrive too, and love playing it through my car's system. Now if we could just figure out how to read in our sleep we'd be all set. :) Thanks again!

I saw your post in an audio book thread. Would you have an mp3 recommendation? It is really difficult to find any info that doesn't make my eyes glaze over. Thanks.

Right now I'm finishing The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie...not sure who the reader is, but she's got a wonderful British accent. A great "listen" was The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I didn't want to leave the car a few times, and always looked forward to leaving work at the end of the day when it was waiting for me!

Not sure about Hunger Games because I haven't read it, but I liked Battle Royale. Not sure if you'd like it, but it's probably at least worth a try.

The most likely reason you wouldn't like it is that it's disturbing on multiple levels (as it was meant to be - the tagline of the movie and manga adaptations is "Would you kill your best friend?" or something like that). Another thing to keep in mind is that it's in translation, so it doesn't flow as naturally as it would be if it had been originally written in English. The plot is engaging, though, and the characters are fleshed out and have their own stories.

Take your time with Watchmen! I'm not in any hurry to get it back. I've only read Battle Royale, so I'm not sure how similar Hunger Games is, but I've heard people rave about both. If you do read Hunger Games, let me know if it's worth the time!

Yes, that's the one. It's very good but the print is rather small and it's a good sized book too. I hope my husband develops some hobbies BEFORE he retires, besides running that is. I have a little notebook dedicated to ....what else....TBR lists....and it's pages long. I'll never live that long........LOL. Nice chatting!

I live in Orange, CT. I'm retired from a local VA Hospital but husband is still working....YAAAY! It makes for a perfect team. He reads too, as do both my adult sons. I have gotten away from Literacy tutoring but volunteer at Recording for the Blind and have for many years. I just love it! SInce it's pouring here today, I expect to make a big dent in Blindspot, a very good book.

To be honest (and I always am) I'm not on the computer much, except for a couple of book groups that I'm in. I'd rather be reading but sometimes something catches my eye. I love meeting new people tho'. Where do you live Cheryl???
