I am currently a senior at a Boston area college. My two loves in life are art and books. I'd love to spend the rest of my life visiting museums.

    Katherine -

Are you looking for a novel or a non-fiction book about the profession?

I would say if you want to know the profession, volunteer at a variety of libraries. As much as I love books, I learned libraries by working in a bunch of them.

The two novels I remember best that were about librarians are All Jacked Up by Penny McCall (a quick paced romance) and the Giant's House by McCracken.

    Take care, Patty

Is that Nancy Drew! Gosh I loved her growing up. About the Life of Pi - it is not a book about the american experience but it is about the human experience. This is one of my favorite books.

I've heard that Rachel Ray's cookbooks are great. Have you ever seen any of her books? I'll have to check out The Monster of Florence. Please tell me a little about it. I would like to be your friend on Shelfari. Please write back. Sincerely, Judy

    Dear Katherine:
Thank you for telling me about the book Wicked. I was terrified of the wicked witch of the west when I was a child. What genre of books do you like to read? I like mysteries that keep you on the edge of your seat, romance, romantic comedy, fiction, any stories about cats and dogs, and some true crime. Could you please recommend some good books for me? Thanks. Sincerely, Judy
