You seen the movie yet - Breaking Dawn pt 1? I saw it on Thurs and just loved every minute of it - could have gone right back in and watched it again!
Liam has just one more National exam but classes are already officially finished for him. Paddy finishes Dec 15th and starts at a new school Jan 31st. This is the official summer break for those not doing exams - 6 weeks summer hols I think it is :) Christmas is always summer for us! LOL

Best read lately was Lightning by Dean Koontz - an old 1988 novel and I listened to it on audio - just brilliant!

Love your new pic, Vim!!!! Such vivid green eyes! Beautiful!!!!
How are you doing by the way? My boys are nearing the end of the school year. Liam (15) has already finished classes and has just one National exam to go. Then he's going to work through the summer. Paddy (11) has 4 weeks of lessons left and is enjoying the last month of his primary school. next year he goes to an intermediate for 2 years.
It's just crazy busy with all the prizegivings and end of year functions!

I am the same way about reviewing books and I would really rather not read what someone else thinks about a book. I like to decide for myself if I like it or not. I like to know basically what the book is about but not if someone I don't even know liked it or not.

I to am an introvert and quite often hide behind a book. I find people bother you less if you are in the middle of a book. And if they do you can always say "just a minute, let me finish this page/chapter." :)

No, we don't see strays in the streets much - well, maybe in some areas but not a really obvious situation. In paddocks or open land, yes sometimes. If you have the feline aids vaccine available to you, maybe you could have your 2 babies vaccinated? You can also have them tested beforehand. Aids is commonly transmitted through fights, hence the more feral cats (strays) are a bigger risk.
Do you mean picture books or YA novels? I also love picture books and often in the school hols, we have a bit of a nostalgia trip and try out some new titles too :)

Not my cat, Vim, but we did have a lovely British Blue named Smokey some years back, who had one eye (attacked by a dog before she came to us) and whom we loved dearly. Sadly, Smokes died of feline aids, which we didn't even know about in those days, or we would certainly have had her immunised, especially since we live near a big paddock and from time to time we have problems with strays....though not so much lately thanks to a great vet and proactive neighbours.
But anyway, this pic just reminded me of Smokey. Sentimental, y'know?
That's no prob re Percy Jackson...I have trouble remembering what's on my own shelf sometimes!!! LOL
    Hope you enjoy Sail :)

I read the first Percy Jackson and loved the movie, but didn't read any more after that.
Chevy Stevens's first book is called Still Missing. Her second is Never Knowing

    Hi :)
I've never heard if Thomas Ott, but will check him out - thanks.
I read the Percy Jackson book but never got beyond the first one. Loved the movie tho :)
YA novels are my faves but I love crime too - a new discovery is Chevy Stevens. Have you read the Hunger Games trilogy?
