Diane, I don't know if you would find "The Scout" to be a good book but you would certainly enjoy the love story within.

    Hey there!
a buddy of mine works in one of the talbot house groups in the administration area--a pretty tough business--and good job broadening your expertise to include accreditation supervisor. i would think the budgeting process would be quite difficult as there are so many constraints. in sales, we can just go try to sell more to get things percolating a bit.

the habitat stuff is indeed interesting--the work is mostly done w/ machinery--tractors, sprayers, planters, cutters etc. but it can get big depending on the size of the area to renovate. more than you want to know---but so far i've replaced about 60 acres of a of crappy grass used for grazing cattle with a prairie grass mix of about 5 different types of bunch grasses and overseeded with different kinds of flowers and high protein foraging plants. the prairie grasses are good for nesting and cover. and the flowers and foraging plants are good for food. then every once in a while i plant some experimental small patches to see if it grows and which animals might be intersted in it.

do you do outside / nature work? to go to wyoming on business--THAT would be a good day! i have a farm in kentucky where i have done a lot of habitat renovation--kind of a 'if i grow it, will they (diverse animal life) come' strategy.

business is slow but some nice potential in the pipline.

the picture is a little book/print store in Paris. my wife and i and two other couples were on a company incentive trip and had had this really cool lunch with some wine--well, maybe kind of a lot of wine--so i think it was taking me a little while to try to translate the french book covers. and since i don't speak one word of french, i was just pretty much staring!

    thanks for your email.
what a great list of books you've read--and it appears as though you do quite a bit of reading...some of them look very intriguing.
most of my consulting is w/in 100 miles of cincinnati...to mostly small and medium sized companies.
the background in your photo must be from a part of Ohio i'm not familiar with! (just kidding)
