Thanks for accepting my friend request, Ciera. I love your name. May use it for a character in my next book. I'm an actor/singer/songwriter who just turned author, so please feel free to check out my 27 CDs as well as my book on my website:
Thanks again, and have an awesome week, Ed
Hi Ciera, hope you are well. Would you please what Den of Shadows about and why did you think it was good? My local library doesn't have it so I want to know if its worth purchasing. Thanks.
I've heard of the Night Huntress Series and have them on my wishlist. I think At Graves End is the third book? Did you enjoy the first two books? I've read the House of Night series apart from Tempted which I bought last year. I wanted to refresh my memory by reading Hunted again as I've read so many books since then that I've forgotten the plotline. My memory is like a seive sometimes! Have you read the Morganville Vampire series? Its a really exciting series too.
I've recently read Barb Hendee's Vampire Memories series which consists of two books - Blood Memories and Hunting Memories. I totally loved the first book and plan on reading the second book soon. Have you heard of them? Here's what the book is about:
Life’s going well for 200 yr old vampire Eleisha until one day she receives a phone call from her friend and fellow vampire, Edward. Sounding ill and unstable, she immediately goes to his house and discovers he’s been eating dog corpses (vampires can’t consume food in this world because it’ll make them ill since their digestive system no longer works) and acting very bizarre. Eleisha is at a loss to help him and before she can stop him, he walks out into the sunlight. That’s bad enough. What makes matters worse is that he does so in front of three police officers who watch in disbelief as he bursts into flame. When you factor in the details that one of the officers is a telepath (vampires release all of their memories upon death, effectively sending a mental blast to anyone in the general vicinity and their vampire sires) and another is a psychometrist, Eleisha has a very big problem.
Eleisha flees Portland with the her aged, vampire companion, William, and seeks refuge with another vampire, Maggie. Unfortunately, the telepath and psychometrist follow her. What follows is a game of cat and mouse as Eleisha tries to elude one man who’s taken it upon himself to rid the world of vampires while trying to make the other understand what made her.
It has a slightly different take on vampires in that:
1. Whenever a vampire kills a human and drains their life force - they see images of the human's life as they are drinking from them.
2. When a vampire dies, their sire feels pain.
Ciera my favourite bands are Within Temptation, Evanescence, Stabbing Westward, The Rasmus, Disturbed and Linkin Park.
I love all of Within Temptations songs but if I had to pick my top three they would be The Heart Of Everything, Dangerous Mind, Final Destination.
My favourite Evanescence tracks include Tourniquet, Whisper, Taking Over Me etc
My favourite Disturbed tracks are Pain Redefined, Down With the Sickness and my favourite of all - Forsaken from the Queen of the Damned album.
My favourite Linkin Park tracks are Crawling, What I've Done, Lying From You, Somewhere I Belong
My favourite Stabbing Westward tracks are Save Yourself, So far Away, Nothing.
I like Smashing Pumpkin's Ava Adore. It's so strange but 10 years back I was listening to boy/girl bands. Since I stumbled across Within Temptations What Have You Done it opened up a new horizon for me. My friends and Family think I'm nuts when I'm blasting my music. LOL
Have you seen any good movies lately? Let me know how you get on with At Grave's End won't you? Take care Ciera (love that name) Bye!!
Hiya Ciera, how are you? Well I hope. You seem to have read nearly all my favourites and rated them highly i.e House of Night series, Morganville Vampire series, Vampire Kisses series as well as Wake and Fade. I figured we had very similar tastes. I recommend you read L J Smith's Vampire Diaries too. The books are about two vampire brothers - one good and one bad who are in love with the same woman.
What are you reading at the moment? I'm reading Kat Richardson's Greywalker series. Its quite good - have you heard of it. I recently read Barb Hendee's Blood Memories and absolutely LOVED it. I would definately recommend this book to you too Ciera. I would appreciate it you would recommend any books to me too. The Den of Shadows Quartet for example is on my wish list but I have yet to purchase them. Are they worht buying and can you tell me what they are about?
I can't believe we have the same musical tastes too. Who are your favourite bands and which tracks do you like? I look forward to hearing from you soon. Take care Bye!!
