Words are like oxygen to me, I love to read. I read everything, from the back of shampoo bottles to toothpaste tubes. I have even read the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) when I am bored! I am usually reading 3-4 books at once. I prefer murder mysteries and thrillers, but I am usually open to just about anything. I have to admit I don't... more »

My book hits the streets August 25th (I'm told). That's when it ships from Amazon, too. I'd love to hear what you think about it if you read it.

Thanks for keeping me updated on the book club! I haven't heard of it, but I was at the library today with my daughter and checked it out. I also plan to read White Tiger at some point. Theresa mentioned that one. Was it any good?

Nah, most of those aren't horror. I read a lot of thrillers, crime-dramas, and hard-boiled mysteries. If you'll notice, I have things on there like The Given Day, Water for Elephants, The Whiskey Rebels, and a lot of the covers and titles that suggest the books are scary are really just thrillers. Trust me!

Thanks for taking a chance on HUNTING. I hope it merits your efforts to get it. There may be better news to come. In the autumn I signed with the oldest literary agency in the country to represent my next book ALBERTVILLE, which takes place in Alabama and the Congo in 1960. In the meantime, I've begun research on my latest project. The tease? Abraham Lincoln wasn't the first president of the US to be assassinated. Take care. Peter

Dear Judy: I am an author from Massachusetts. After years of rejection slips, I had my debut novel HUNTING THE KING published last year. The publication of a novel by a small independent press requires a lot of independent promotion, too. As part of that promotion I try reaching out to people who might have an interest in HUNTING, which is a page-turning thriller. The main character is Molly O’Dwyer. When Molly was five years old, she witnessed her mother die in a fire that Molly believes she set. After her mother’s death, she is raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Thirty years later, she is an archaeologist recruited to join an expedition into war torn Iraq. What lies buried beneath the sands of ancient Babylon that would have an international team of scientists anxious to risk their lives? A passionate scientist herself, a seeker of truth, Molly can’t resist the call. Yet, still a loyal Catholic, she can’t help but fear the consequences of this momentous dig. ForeWord Magazine said, ‘Given such an auspicious debut, the sequel can’t come soon enough.’ If you have the time, check out the explosive YouTube book trailer for HUNTING THE KING. Please let me know if you have an interest. Thank you.
