Happily married with two beautiful boys. Everything else you may want to know about me will become clear as you peruse my bookshelves. Shelfari is great fun for this book geek.

Ideas for adoration- Marc would probably be more knowledgable than me on this one, but here goes... Have you read The Life of Christ by Fulton Sheen? It's excellent for meditation. He's amazing...anything he has written would be great for adoration. Also, The Collected Works of Edith Stein is really good too...especially for women. Also, I like G.K. Chesterton...he's quirky and funny, but deep. When I get a chance to go, I usually just bring my Bible and do Lectio while I'm there. It's the only thing I can focus on right now. My mind is always racing anymore.

I told Bruce I would try the kindle. We're going to get one together since neither one of us is up at the same time during the work week. He can have it when he's awake and I can take it when he's asleep. That way, if I hate it, I won't feel guilty for letting him pay for it. My friend, Rene, in Texas, loved her Kindle so much that she upgraded to the Kindle Fire this year. I'm so technologically ignorant that I'm not sure I'll like it. Do you need to have a degree in computers or a birthdate after 1990 to use it?

I know what you mean about the pages. I love it too! That is one of the reasons I'm not all that hip to Kindle...which Bruce is trying to get me into. I love the feel and smell of real books. Wow! Davy is reading really well! It's amazing how fast they grow up! Your boys are absolutely beautiful...well, handsome would be a more masculine word, wouldn't it? I'm having trouble with masculine terminology with Michael Bruce informs me. :)

How do you like The Tale of Despereaux? It's one of my faves! Merry Christmas! Thanks for the recommendation! I'm adding it to my "to read" list.

Hey, Shannon! You must have read my mind! Harry Potter is next on the list, and I'd like to try to read the Golden Compass although I may choke on it. I just got a wild idea to read all the controversial books I could read for awhile. After I read my new book I got for my birthday, I told the girls I'd read the next installment in the Percy Jackson series though...so Harry may have to wait until January.

Just reviewed Twilight. You'll have to take a look when you get time. I'm debating whether to read Harry Potter or the Golden Compass next. This year is my controversial reading list selection. :)

Fatherless is in the parish library now, Shannon. Donated it around the time Michael was born, but I forgot to tell you in my craziness.

Hi Shannon. Interesting review on The Golden Compass. I've had it sitting on my shelf for a while, intending to get around to it eventually to review it from a Catholic perspective.

Yes, you can remove tags in list view. It is still basicly the same idea though. You remove the tags from the books and when there are no more books with that tag, the tag disappears from your list. I know this because I consistently mispell the word tragedy. And every time it will appear in my list of tags as trajedy. Then I go back in and correct it, and voila, trajedy disappears.

You have to delete them from the books that they are on. This is what I have done.
Click on the tag you want to delete, so that only those books are on the shelf. Remove the tag from the books. You may have to refresh the page, but when you have them all deleted the shelf will be empty.

There may be an easier way. If so, it is probably available when you are looking at your shelf in a list view. I have played with list view some, but not a lot. When you are at the shelf list view is an option on one of the drop downs at the top or just above your shelf. I know that you can do some things to batches of books when you are in list view. But I haven't tried it.
