Marc and I have been married "forever" and have two young boys, both too bloomin' cute for words. Everything else you would want to know about me or us will become clear as you peruse my bookshelves. Shelfari is great fun for this book geek.

BTW, Zoey had a Redwall birthday, and she and Sarah cooked all day long using the Redwall Cookbook she got for her birthday. They had a blast! Zoey is also hooked on the Redwall series.

Hey, Shan! You should recommend the Boys Will Be Boys book to Zita B. She's been looking for good ones dealing with boys.

    Shannon,
Thanks for the recommendation on Who Gets the Drumstick? I love it! Not done yet, but I'm loving every minute I get to read. It had me in tears in the first chapter!

Be grateful now for little things. The flowers, a tree, a bird that sings. For friends and loved ones far and near
For health, for strength, for all held dear.
And thank the Lord, to whom we pray,
Whose love goes with us every day.
Just try your best in all you do
And the best in turn comes back to you.
    Be grateful, thankful, loving, kind
And joy in living each day you'll find.
Whate'er you do, whenever you go,
Trust in the Lord. He loves you so."

I love that Sam's Science book! It was one of Sarah and Rachel's favorites when they were younger. In fact, I read it to Rachel and Mary again the other day. Appropriate since they all had the flu. :)

Just finished "A Tale of Despereaux". How cute! Much better than the movie...why am I surprised? The girls are in bed sick, so we've been reading for hours...and Mary plays on the floor in S and R's room. Not bad for flu days, eh? Now we're out of books. We finished The Princess and the Goblin and now, Despereaux, and my library requests haven't come in yet. We might have to fin dsomething here that I can read to them. Fevers, fevers, everywhere!
