I'm a misanthrope, who instead of filling her world with real live humans, chooses instead to people her world with characters, either from her own imagination or from the minds of others through books (or telepathy if I can pull it off). I live with my partner/fiancé/husband of 7 years and the 7 cats we've rescued and chosen to have in place of human children.
My reading has decreased substantially as of late due to reality infringing: having to work and earn a living and all that cal. Because of the times, and my frugal nature, I typically only purchase the books I know I love; therefore, my local Public Library, though certainly lacking in many areas, has become my personal haven and feeding grounds, inter-library loans my drug of choice.
I generally read fantasy - dark, historical, epic, children's... whatever. Though I certainly delve into other genres when the right book comes along. I keep an open mind, as anyone who reads should. I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting books and authors. Throw some ideas my way regarding books, or anything else for that matter, if you so choose.
