Hello Sandy, I read Shelfari has you as a member with Frank Peretti’s “This Present Darkness” and would like to recommend another Christian Thriller, "The Diaries of Pontius Pilate.” It draws upon the author’s military background and has great reviews. “Diaries” is not a vanity or self-pub book, but is published by Trestle Press, a small independent press outside of Philadelphia under its imprint, My Helping Hands Press, that gave a Christian novel a chance. Full disclosure - I wrote it and hope you’ll give it a chance - on Kindle, Paperback, Nook or Kobo.
Best wishes, Joe Lewis www.josephmaxlewis.com
The Red Thread, I learned about it on the radio listening to the author being interviewed. She adopted her daughter from China, who died at a very young age from a fast fluke illness. It is a novel that follows different people through the process of deciding to adopt and the children who will be adopted. Yes, for me there was a satisfying ending but its not an issue that I have had to address either.
Hmmm, this is the first that I have seen of your notes. Maybe I didn't know where to look.
I'm not very confident about writing any critiques on the books that I've read. It's like anything else, my opinion isn't necessarily the same as any one elses. For instance, I am probably missing out on a lot of good books because I won't read anything that I can't pronounce the characters names. I lose interest when I am stumbling over a name over and over again. :)
